I'm Susan Scott, President of Mel Wolf & Associates, Inc. My father, Melvin Wolf, had been an insurance salesman when our family moved to Plantation, Florida in 1961. It wasn't long before Dad opened his own successful insurance agency building great loyalty and friendships with his clients. He built an office building a few years later and maintained his office on Oakland Park Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and worked right up until a few weeks before his death November 29, 2004. Dad had signed to sell the office building and unfortunately because of his passing, I had to finish the deal. Since the building was sold, we ended up moving our offices to a beautiful new condo office building that my husband , Melvin (yes, I married a Melvin too, but he goes by Scotty) and I bought in Sunrise Palms Commerce Center in Sunrise. .  In addition, a few months after my father's death, my daughter Kelley Cavanaugh, also became a licensed agent and joined the firm. Kelley has made Mom proud and only wishes Grandpa could see her now. We know he's smiling down watching her, beaming with pride, because she has turned into a real asset for our agency. Kelley has specialized in Individual Health insurance but has a firm handle on group, as well.
